Our team of dedicated and professional early childhood educators is committed to supporting each child as an individual in their learning and development journey. Our team is highly qualified with Bachelor and Diploma trained early childhood educators running all programs.

Georgi
Director

MORE ABOUT ME

Georgi completed her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education in 2012, joining DNMK in 2016 as the Currawongs 4yo teacher. Georgi started in the role of director in 2020. Georgi believes that strong partnerships with families supports each child’s holistic development and engagement with Early Years Learning. She believes children learn best when they are provided with opportunities to take risk, problem solve and discover answers with the thoughtful support of educators. Georgi is passionate about the community and history of DNMK and hopes to continue building on the 100 year plus legacy of the kindergarten.

Lily

Lily is passionate about play based learning and allowing children the opportunity to develop their own sense of self and capabilities as members of our community. Lily has a strong passion for supporting diversity and equity within her early learning philosophy and brings this understanding of individual needs to her program with joy and enthusiasm. Lily believes that nature-based programs and allowing children to explore the natural environment and connect with nature, provides a solid foundation for children’s learning and understanding of the wider world around them.

Naomi
Early Childhood Teacher 4-year-old Currawong (Tuesday & thursday) Group

MORE ABOUT ME

Naomi graduated from Melbourne University with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education in 2011.
Naomi believes DNMK’s philosophy and value placed on the outdoor environment and embedding sustainability into the programs matches her own philosophy and practice.
Nature-based learning is something that she is incredibly passionate about
and has seen the positive impact it has on children in that fundamental year before
school

Naomi believes that giving children time and space to be creative in the world around them helps develops essential skills. Above all, she values play-based learning; believing it to be the best tool we have to give children the greatest possible start to life at school.

Xiao Yu
Educator 4-year-old Currawong (Tuesday and Thursday) Group

MORE ABOUT ME

Xiao Yu has been working with children since 2011 and completed her Bachelor of Early Childhood in 2016.
Xiao Yu believes that each child has unique strengths, personalities and interests and enjoys supporting children to discover just what these are.
Xiao Yu has a strong interest in the arts and providing opportunities for children to express themselves through all mediums. She has been teaching a language program for several years and will be sharing this with the children at DNMK, teaching Mandarin Chinese to the groups she works with.

Sandra
Educator 4-year-old Rainbow Lorikeet (Monday and Wednesday) Group

Sandra moved to Australia from Mexico in 2012. She holds a Diploma of Children’s Services and has been part of the DNMK team since 2016. Sandra enjoys crafting with the children and supporting their developing independence. She is passionate about sharing her language and culture through Mexican cooking experiences, songs and stories, supporting the children’s understanding of various cultures.

Educator 4-year-old Currawong (Tuesday & Thursday) Group

MORE ABOUT ME

Alba competed her Certificate 3 in Children’s Services in 2016 and joined the DNMK team in 2017. Alba enjoys sharing her knowledge of Yoga with the children and supporting their social and emotional development in an open and calm way.  Alba feels it is a great joy to spend time with the children at DNMK and help them learn and grow.

Jo has been at DNMK for past 12 years, with experience across both the 3 and 4-year-old streams.She holds a Certificate 3 in Children’s Services and is passionate about the kinder community and engaging with the children and their families.Jo brings a nurturing quality which is so important in helping children become self-assured and confident. Jo enjoys fostering children’s dramatic play and connecting with children through shared stories.

Penni
Early Childhood Teacher 3-year-old Kookaburra (Tuesday and Thursday) Group

Penni completed her Bachelor in Early Childhood education in 2016, having worked in Early Childhood and Primary School settings for almost a decade. Penni has been teaching 3yo kindergarten exclusively since 2016, joining DNMK in 2020. Penni believes strong relationships with the children and families underpins the best outcomes for children in their formative years of education. She is passionate about supporting children to develop their social and emotional skills that set them up for success in their future years. 

Sandra

Tiana
Educator Wattlebirds Monday through Thursday and Robins Friday

MORE ABOUT ME

Tiana relocated to Australia from France where she
ran a Family Day Care facility for over 10 years.
Initially Tiana volunteered at DNMK in 2017 while studying before joining the teaching team in 2018 after completing her Certificate Three in Children’s services.
Tiana enjoys sharing her French background with the children, incorporating language and culture into the program.
Tiana believes all children are ever surprising and we learn something new from them every day.

Emma
Wattlebirds Activity Group Leader Monday and Wednesday

MORE ABOUT ME

Emma has been working in early Childhood since 2011, completing her Diploma in 2017. Moving to Melbourne in 2019 saw Emma join the DNMK team. Emma celebrates the uniqueness of each child and aims to build learning around each child’s interests, ideas and cultural heritage through the use of a variety of mediums including music, literature and art. Emma is passionate about gardening and sustainability and brings her knowledge and passion in this area to DNMK’s sustainability philosophy.

Bree

Bree is currently studying her Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and has been working in Early Childhood since 2013. Bree joined the DNMK team in 2019 and is passionate about outdoor education and nature play. Bree enjoys supporting children to engage in their natural environment and discover the amazing world we live in. She sees her role as an educator in the early years as someone who can support children as they develop their social and emotional skills and natural curiosity.

Gina has assisted in the running of the kinder collaboratively with the Committee of management and Team of Educators since 2007.
Her children graduated from DNMK and she enjoys being part of the Richmond community.

Jacqui
Breaks cover Educator (Tuesday through Thursday)

MORE ABOUT ME

Jacqui has been working with children in both Early Childhood and Primary School settings for almost 20 years. She enjoys supporting children to be able to face challenges and develop their own capabilities while working closely with families. After having her own children Jacqui worked at St Justin’s Primary School assisting children with developmental needs and behavioural issues. She joined DNMK in 2019 and is enjoying being back in an Early Years setting.
